The Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program is a federally funded program that provides rental assistance to low-income families through rental subsidies. The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) provides CRHA with a limited number of vouchers to distribute among eligible applicants. With these rental subsidies, or vouchers, program participants are responsible for finding their own rental property and thus are not limited to renting only CRHA-managed units.
