If your teenager needs a place to chill out this summer, there’s a new spot in Charlottesville where they can meet up with friends and stay busy.
The Piedmont Family YMCA is opening a Teen Center at the Brooks YMCA in McIntire Park on July 1st. There will be free food and raffles on the first day at 2p and 4 to 530p.
This new center, which is open during the Y’s normal hours of operation, will be a home to 13 to 18 year olds that are part of the YMCA’s Free Summer Teen Membership Program.
There will be all sorts of programs and activities to take part in and lots of video games in the Teen Center space.
The hours are:
Monday – Friday 530a to 9p
Saturday 7a to 3p
Sunday 12p to 6p
